From the South: Leave the M40 at junction 8 and join the A40 towards Oxford. Continue along the A40 for a further 12 miles. On reaching the Wolvercote roundabout take the fourth exit signposted A44 (Evesham & Blenheim Palace) and follow signs for Blenheim Palace for some five miles. On entering Woodstock pass the main entrance to Blenheim Palace on the left hand side. Continue to the centre of Woodstock and, 50 metres beyond the pedestrian crossing, the King’s Arms can be seen on the left. Limited parking is available on both Oxford Street and Market Street. From the North: Leave the M40 at junction 9 and join the A34 towards Oxford. Leave the A34 at the fourth junction signposted Oxford. At this roundabout (Peartree), take fourth exit onto the A44 signposted Evesham and Blenheim Palace. Continue along the A44 for a further five miles. On entering Woodstock pass the main entrance to Blenheim Palace on the right hand side. Continue to the centre of Woodstock and the King’s Arms will be found on your right, on the corner of Market street. Limited parking is available on both Oxford Street and Market Street.
The nearest main train station is in Oxford. You can get the Stagecoach bus service (S3 Oxford – Chipping Norton service from Stand R5) between the station and Woodstock.
Woodstock itself is known for its mixture of antique shops, gift boutiques and art galleries, together with a fascinating County Museum.
